Bible Class @ Bethany Gospel Hall

We had a good bible class tonight. Bible teaching on 1 Corinthians 3 v 1-4.

Check it out for yourself. The basic question it raises is Am I a mature Christian or a Baby Christian? Quite a challenge!

New Health Centres Springing up everywhere

New Health Centres seem to be springing up all over Liverpool. This one has lots of trendy wording on it. The pool of life, Liver, etc.

We crave for good #health which is a good thing. Spiritually we also need good health as the bible describes us as spiritually #sick (Isaiah 1). The Lord Jesus once commented that only sick people seek #medical services. His point was that only people who recognised their spiritual malaise and sickness will seek his help.

He still says "Come unto me". Are you willing to admit you need his help. Sins forgiven and peace with God are still on offer. The only question is - will you come?

Views of the Liver Building in the Sunset

This was the scene that met my eyes as I went to the Liverpool Homeless work tonight. Beautiful. Quite a contrast to the broken lives of the souls I met in Gladstone Street. Hopeless and hurting. Many living on the streets and wondering how to survive.

Thankfully we can provide food and clothing and point them to the one who "heals the broken hearted" and "sets the captive free".

It is said of the Lord Jesus - 'the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost'. He still does the same today.

Southport Street Meetings - Final Day

The last day of the street meetings went well today. Sunshine and plenty of people about. I was delighted to tell people about the love of God, the problem of sin and the offer of salvation through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

If you are a Christian please pray for Tom, Alan, John, Kev, Mark, Tim, Darren, Glen, Stephen and Warren. Details would not be appropriate but just pray that the Lord would work in their lives and that the light of the glorious gospel would shine into their hearts.

Thanks for your prayers this week,

Stephen

Update on Street Meetings in Southport

Today's Drama

I was approached by man who doesn't believe that Jesus ever existed. He felt that religions are right but he's not sure if God exists anyway. So sad to be so disillusioned.

95% of historians believe Jesus did live. Who he was?, why did he die? etc may be questions you ask but he did live and a Christian I believe 'he died for our sins'.

All religions are right - logically that can't be true. Some teach reincarnation, some only physical life (i.e. no afterlife) , some teach resurrection etc. Truth and reality will displace conjecture and wishful thinking one day. The Bible teaches that Jesus came from heaven, died for the ungodly, rose from the dead and will return to this earth one day. Big claims - what do you believe?

You'll know God exists one day! It would be better to discover the truth on earth than on the day of judgment.

God bless.

Stephen

Street Meetings in Southport

Brief update: the street meeting in Southport went well today. Not as many people listening as yesterday; however yesterday we had a magnetic heckler. He attracted quite an audience for us. Sadly the poor guy was angry with life, articulate and passionate about denying and defying the God of heaven.

I am so glad that the message we bring is a soul saving, life changing message. Praying that many will be saved through the declaration of the gospel.
